Foundry has released Mari 6 as a public alpha. The new features announced so far include updating Mari’s third-party libraries to the versions specified by the VFX Reference Platform, the ability to export a full USD Look file that contains both a USD Preview Surface shader and their chosen vendor shader, and interactive selection group tools to drive USD face set based material assignments.
