Joker Martini has released Spline Caster, a handy script for 3ds Max that allows users to quickly create splines projected onto the surface of geometry. It offers two modes, the first allows you to place the start and end points of a spline which emerges perpendicular to the surface and connects is a kind of S-Curve with controls to refine the curviness; the second allows you to draw freehand on the surface with lazy mouse options for smoothing. JangaFX has announced a collaboration with OTOY to create a separate version of its real-time volumetric effect tools EmberGen for Octane. This does not affect the
